SERI PERDANA COMPLEX

Persiaran Seri Perdana, Presint 10 Putrajaya

The Seri Perdana Complex is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Malaysia which is also used for welcoming heads of state, heads of government, state dignitaries and the public.

In line with the principle that Seri Perdana "belongs to the people", certain parts of the complex, namely the Protocol Block and Banquet Block, are open to the public.

Located at Persiaran Seri Perdana, Precint 10, Putrajaya, this complex is the epitome of the combined Malay, Islamic and European architectural, landscape and design heritage.

Seri Perdana was built in 1997 on a 42.5-acre site according to the contour of the hill to preserve the geographical structure and natural environment in line with the planning concept of Putrajaya as a Garden City.

PROTOCOL BLOCK

Consists of several main rooms used to welcome heads of state, heads of government and local and foreign dignitaries.

Main Guest Salon
Official guests are welcomed by the Prime Minister in this room. It is also used for closed discussions with heads of state and heads of government.

Special Guest Salon
This is the main rest area for official guests.

Waiting Room
Two special waiting rooms, i.e. Waiting Rooms I and II, are provided for the convenience of guests.

Meeting Room
This room is used by the Prime Minister for meetings with official guests.

Special Dining Hall
This hall is located in front of the Special Guest Salon and is used for official banquets for heads of state, heads of government and local and foreign dignitaries. It can accommodate 60 guests.

BANQUET BLOCK

Consists of the official banquet hall and exhibition gallery.

Banquet Hall
This hall is used to entertain guests of the state and it can accommodate 200 to 300 guests.

Gallery
This is an exhibition area for the collection of gifts, awards and souvenirs presented to the Prime Minister by local and foreign dignitaries.

NOTE :

* Duration of tour - 1 hour 30 minutes.

* Smart and decent attire.

* The management may amend the schedule of the tour in the event any official function is held during the tour.

* Visitor from within and overseas necessary bring Identity Card / Passport for Registration objective.

RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE OBSERVED WHEN IN THE OFFICIAL RESIDENCE OF THE PRIME MINISTER, SERI PERDANA

The Seri Perdana Complex is a gazette restricted area under the PROTECTED AREAS AND PROTECTED PLACES ACT 1959 (Act 298). Any person who is in any protected area shall comply with the following rules and procedures:

  1. Visitors and required to report and register at the Main Security Control Center to obtain a visitor’s security pass card/sticker.
  2. All visitors are required to pass through the security scanner and are required to display the security pass card/sticker when they are in the complex area.
  3. All visitors are to be decently dressed (short pants, short skirts, sleeveless shirts, slippers and visitors who are indecently dressed are not allowed)
  4. Visitors transportation entry into the complex is prohibited. Vehicles are to be parked at the public car park area at the public Main Entrance. Vehicles are only allowed entry into the complex area with consent of the Complex Manager.
  5. Dangerous items such as arms and ammunitions are not allowed to be brought into the Complex. Bearers are required to declare such items to the Officer-in-Charge manning the Main Security Control Center for safekeeping.
  6. Visitors are not allowed to bring in all forms of cameras, smart phones and IT tablets into the complex.
  7. Visitors are not allowed to bring any form of bags or luggage into the complex.
  8. Visitors are not allowed to bring in any form of foods and drinks into the complex. Smoking is forbidden / prohibited on the premises.
  9. Visitors are not allowed to bring in any pets and animals into the complex.
  10. Visitors are responsible for their own personal safety and the safety of their personal belongings when they are in the complex.
  11. Loitering in the complex compound is forbidden. Visitors are only allowed in areas designated for visitors and are closely supervised by the complex security officers on duty.
  12. On certain circumstances, the Complex Security Officers may stop and search any person for not abiding the complex security rules.
  13. The Complex Security Officers may stop and remove any visitors for failure to observe the complex security rules.
  14. The Complex Security Officer may stop and inspect vehicles moving in and out of the complex for security clearance.
  15. Any form of photography in the complex area is not allowed. You may have your photograph taken at a designated spot in the complex compound by a photographer appointed by the complex management.
  16. Visitors are required to abide to all rules laid out by the authorities issued from time to time.

SECURITY

For the convenience of visitors, the security procedures at the Seri Perdana Complex must be observed at all times. ANY FILMING WITHIN THE COMPLEX IS NOT ALLOWED.
